This blog post will help you if you notice the msi friend bios beep.
Speed up your PC in just a few clicks
On newer MSI cards (and hundreds of other manufacturers using AMIBIOS), you will hear several deeper beeps in addition to one nasty beep indicating a successful POST. It’s just a BIOS that will notify your site of connected USB devices as it will look for bootable USB devices, input devices such as keyboards or mice.
I see that many users are confused with BIOS beep codes, so I create a new interesting thread with them (I search the forum for a thread similar to this one, but cannot find anything except when this thread exists delete mine explicitly.)
AMI BIOS:
1 beep – system boot was successful
* 1 beep – update failed – (NO VIDEO) no memory upgrade option (bad memory)
2 beeps – parity error – memory error
3 beeps – 64 KB base memory error – Bad memory
4 beeps – Timer not working – Bad motherboard
5 beeps – Processor malfunction – Processor malfunction
6 beeps – Error 8042 Checkpoint A20 – Processor defective or sometimes motherboard
7 beeps – input error processor exception – processor defective
8 beeps – memory read / write failure d ‘display – video card or enhanced memory
9 beeps – ROM checksum error – bad BIOS
10 beeps CMOS – power off and application of read / write error – faulty motherboard
11 beeps – faulty cache memory – faulty processor or motherboard
12 beeps – BIOS movement area Invalid file size – BIOS was detected – ROM file does not match size devices in inches
13 beeps – BIOS ROM does not match – BIOS ROM file frame configuration does not match the image on the flash device
5 constant + 1 long beep – memory error – no memory found in the current memory locations.
6 short + 1 long beep – memory error – EDO memory detected in the system
7 small + 1 long beep – SMBUS error
AWARD BIOS:
1 short – system boot successful
2 short – CMOS setting error
1 long 1 short – DRAM or M / B error
1 long 2 short – monitor or display card error
1 long 6 short – keyboard error
1 long 90 years short – BIOS ROM error
* repeated beeps – DRAM error
* repeated short beeps – power error
* repeated loud and be quietNo ringing – the processor is damaged / overheated
What does 3 beeps of POST AMI BIOS mean?
Three beeps that instantly pause and appear when the computer is turned on indicate a problem with system memory. Three beeps that play and then are muted when the computer boots successfully ensure recovery e BIOS.
